Jesus College Boat Club turns 200 in 2027. Alumni and the College have planned a year of celebrations across 2026–27, from races and dinners to reunions and a grand finale.
Jesus College Boat Club will be 200 years old in 2027. To mark the anniversary, a group of alumni have joined with the College to plan a programme of events running from the Fairbairn Cup in December 2026 through to a grand finale in September 2027.

Places at the dinners are limited and current rowers have priority, so alumni bookings are first come, first served.
The Fairbairn races, followed by a dinner in College that evening to which alumni are warmly invited (around 100–150 places). There will also be a drinks reception, and the Master will open an exhibition in the Marshall Room celebrating the 200th anniversary.
The Paddock at Fen Ditton is open to alumni for all four days of racing, with picnics and BBQs welcome. On the Saturday the College provides a bar and gazebo plus coffee and food trucks, a celebratory brunch in College, and the traditional Mays Dinner in Hall that evening (places limited).
The Club hosts a drinks reception during the tea interval on Friday 2 July, in the CUBC marquee behind the Stewards’ Enclosure. All are welcome, and you will not need a Stewards’ ticket to join.
A full day of celebration in College: crews reunite and take to the Cam once more, with talks from some of the Club’s top rowers and a host of other activities, concluding with a special anniversary dinner in Hall.
A new sixth volume of the Club’s ‘Red Book’ recording our crews, and a richly illustrated coffee-table history, ‘For the Love of Rowing’. Both are on pre-sale now through Jesus College.
